8bit Oasis is a locally owned and operated Retro Videogame Store, Hobby Shop, and Hang-out Spot in Harrisonburg, VA. Founded by Harrisonburg local, and JMU alum, Lauren Davis, 8bit Oasis is dedicated to supplying all your Videogame, Trading Card, and Tabletop needs. Our commitment to our customers is three-fold--we provide a superior product; we have a sincere dedication to our customers; and, we provide a community space available to anyone and everyone. Products -- All of our used consoles, controllers, and games are refurbish and tested, top-to-bottom, in house by our well trained repair technicians! We deliver a better product than our big franchise competitors because we can give our time to you, our customer, instead of a corporate quota. Customer Commitment -- We grew up around and are dedicated to being the kind of quality shop that the Valley deserves. We love and respect our community and so give discounts to all current or former armed-service members, teachers, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and small business owners! Community Space -- We allow anyone to come in and play any game in the store, free of charge, whether you want to buy or just want to hang around. We have events almost every night of the week for Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Warhammer, and board games. Even if we do not have an event going on, anyone is welcome to come on down and hang.
